What is a Patient Participation Group?

A PPG is made up of patients and practice staff who communicate at regular intervals to consider ways of making a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered by the practice to their patients. Not every group will be the same. Each group will evolve and develop over time to address the needs of the practice and the local community.

What does Patient Participation Involve?

As a PPG we meet once every 3 months to work together to;

Improve communication between GP’s
Enable patients to look after their own health, with the support of their GP and practice staff
Discuss topics of mutual interest to the practice and its patients.
Encourage improvements within GP practice through the adoption of best practice
Increase patient satisfaction with the service they receive

Would you like to join our PPG? For more information please speak to reception or the Practice Manager

If you would like to attend our next meeting, please come to reception and request a declaration of interest form or alternatively download a copy of the form to email or hand in to reception at your earliest convenience.

Each meeting will last no longer than 1.5 hours.
